Black Ops 2 Zombies Easter Eggs Die Rise
UPDATE: iVilux has reported to me the following information for all your benefit :)
IF DOING THE MAXIS SIDE, DO NOT BUY THE GALVAKNUCKLES UNTIL YOU NEED THEM!!!
I am now 99% sure that having galvaknuckles along with the ballistic knives makes it glitch (you won't get a quote after shooting the knives in the buddha room). Apparently if you have galvaknuckles, the knives in the code have a different name and the knives become a different weapon. I tried this myself, I got the quote after pack-a-punching the knives without the galvaknuckles and didn't get the quote after pack-a-punching them with galvaknuckles.
This achievement may take upwards of an hour and a half with 4 players (can't be done with less).
NOTE: I've added a couple videos from NGTzombies (Maxis's Path and Richtofen's) for those that would rather a visual instead. I take ZERO credit for the videos.
Step 0, PERSISTENT UPGRADES (OPTIONAL):Before you begin it might prove useful to have persistent super revive and 200% health. These upgrades can be earned whilst playing on tranzit, die rise and buried (NOT grief, survival and turned modes). They are not displayed like normal perks but somewhat do the same job and can also be combined with the normal perk for a substantially better effect for specific perks (quick revive and juggernog).
PERSISTENT UPGRADE NAME (NAME WITH PERK PURCHASED AS WELL)
WHAT IT DOES
HOW TO EARN AND LOSE IT
>QUICKER REVIVE (INSTANT REVIVE)
The player can earn faster revives (revives are twice as fast). The effect can be stacked with Quick Revive for an almost instant revivification.
The revives are fairly easy to do with a second controller or a friend willing to help. Leave the last two walkers of wave 1, place the second controller (or that eager friend) in the lava and just revive away! You know when you have done enough as you will see a puff of green dust appear (you will see this with every persistent perk/power-up upgrade).
To lose it, a player must try and fail to revive a downed person, even if said person is later revived. Even an accidental fail (such as being knocked out of the way) will cause the upgrade to be lost.
>200% HEALTH (300% HEALTH)
The player can earn more health (4 hits like Juggernog). The effect stacks with Juggernog, allowing the player to have a maximum of 300% health (6 hits).
The exact way to how to obtain this upgrade is still unknown, but the most commonly used way to obtain it is to consistently buy Quick Revive in solo play and letting yourself to be downed both times by the SAME zombie.
This perk is disabled but not lost on round 15. The player will not lose the perk by dying from fall damage/falling off the map, explosive damage, or bleeding out and dying prior to the start of round 15; after round 15 however each of these factors will cause the perk to be lost, unless the player is the last in the party to go down.
If you're wanting to know the less helpful but still somewhat useful persistent upgrades check out the call of duty wiki here:
http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Persistent_Upgrades
Start a custom die rise game on original difficulty (NOT EASY DIFFICULTY).
Like Tranzit & Buried, if one of you already has the achievement you won't be able to do the first significant step, in this instance standing on all the elevator symbols will not light them up. The workaround for this is to start the game without the player(s) with the achievement and then invite them into round 1. They will then be able to spawn in once the next round begins.
Step 2, GETTING TO BANK AND POWER:Make sure all four of your team acquire at least 750 points each (four doors) leaving at least one zombie still alive. Buy open the first door then have everyone get into the elevator at spawn. Occasionally the last zombie will die after this step, if so then hold out in the power room together until you have two zombies left.
Once at the bottom of the elevator shaft, have everyone pick up a key each with one person using theirs to call the spawn elevator back up (down the corridor facing the other tower, turn right and you'll see a panel you can "add" your key to), to then pick up another key (they will get spawned in infinitely).
Step 3, GET MONEY (IF YOU CAN) AND SWITCH ON POWER:As soon as you get onto this tower you'll notice a fridge in the corner - this is the new weapons locker where you can retrieve your weapon. Once in the next room you'll notice two showers - this is the "bank". The left shower will let you deposit your cash and the right, withdraw. Once you leave through the doorway to the left (when facing the showers) you'll notice some double doors (750 points). Buy them. Across the room you will then see the power switch. Flip it on and then have three of your team get onto the left elevator in the power room and take it to the roof (make sure to get off before the elevator crushes you) whilst the remainder plays with the zombie in the power room.
Step 4, NAV. CARD TABLE:Around this rooftop will be four parts (the meteorite, the radio, the nav. card reader and the table) needed to construct the nav. card table, which will be constructed in the corner, under the ramp to the spire. If THE HOST has built it before it will already be built (if any other player has previously built it, the table will still need to be built again for the host regardless). Similar to the obelisk table in the first easter egg, this table will always be built every game after its assembling.
There will be one part that you will have trouble acquiring. To get to it, go up the ramp alongside the dragon (towards the spire) then jump off towards the semtex grenades and again towards the elevator. It will be in the corner by the lion tile. To get back, you will need to fall off the side and then proceed to buy two (750 point) doors. You can then get back to the roof via the elevators. YOU WILL NOT NEED TO PUT A NAV. CARD INTO IT! Just a side note: picking up the pieces will replace your key so once you have added your piece REMEMBER TO GET YOUR KEY BACK!
Step 5, ELEVATOR GOLDEN SYMBOLS:BEFORE YOU BEGIN THIS STEP DOUBLE CHECK THAT THE TABLE IS BUILT! This step will require your team to stand on all the symbols on top of the elevators simultaneously. There are two in each building so you will need to get your team split into groups of two in the "spawn tower" and "power tower".
In the "power tower", the symbols are located on the left elevator of the two side-by-side and an elevator reachable on the lowest floor. The player kiting the zombie in the power room will be assigned the left of the two side-by-side while the other player will need to take the elevator back down to power, then down one more. From here you will need to go through the doorway to the left of the bench, then to the left side of this room. Ahead you will see a doorway and a doorway on the left side. Go through the doorway on the left side and the elevator will be straight ahead of you.
The other two players assigned to the "spawn tower" will need to go up the ramp alongside the dragon, then jump across back to the initial tower. Right in front of you will be an elevator which is one of the two for this tower. The last is the one behind the sofa, to the left. You can get to it by buying the sofa or by taking the other elevator up one floor.
An easy way of doing this step is to use the keys you collected earlier on the locks beside the elevators, on the lowest floor it goes to. Then once it goes down you all get on. If you did this step correct the symbol should now be glowing brightly.
Step 6, FLOOR GOLDEN SYMBOLS:Similar to the symbols from the last step are another four symbols scattered around which have to be activated in a certain order. To work this out you must step on each of the four in turn until you step on one that lights up. This is the first one. Then you must step on another and if it lights up too it is the second, however, if it doesn't the first will go back off needing to be activated again. You will have to do this until all four are lit.
The locations are as follows; one of the two in the "spawn tower" is in front of an elevator in the room next to spawn and the other is on the floor below the first through a (750 point) door, down the escalator to the right of the SVU-AS sniper rifle and to the first right, around the corner. The first of the two in the "power tower" is next to the semtex once you jump down from the spire, and the last is through a (1000 point) double door that is located to right, as you are leaving the power room's double doors. YOU MAY HAVE TO DO ANOTHER ROUND TO AFFORD THE DOORS. If you are on round four I recommend getting the PDW-57 (1000 points) to the left of the elevator beside the previous (750 point) door if you're in the "spawn tower" or if you're in the "power tower" buy the (750 point) sofa barricade opposite the spire, on the roof. Around the corner on the (left hand side) wall will be an MP5 (1000 points).
Step 7, SNIPE THE BALLS:One of the two players in the "spawn tower" should now acquire the SVU-AS sniper rifle (1000 points) and then from the spawn, snipe the small balls out of the dragons' mouths. You should now see the two balls under the lion's paws at either side of the spawn's double doors.
This will be where the path splits into two, however, I will be guiding you through Richtofen's as you will not have to spend tens of thousands of points trying to get the ballistic knife then having to pack-a-punch it. Unless you have a horse shoe, four-leafed clover and a lucky rabbit's foot shoved up your ass in which case you'll get it first try. However, with a new update you can now withdraw from your bank just like tranzit and buried, making this step a lot less problematic.
RICHTOFEN Step 8, SLIQUIFIER: DO NOT PICK UP THE BALLS OR YOU'LL HAVE TO DO THE MAXIS SIDE.
For this step you will need to build the sliquifier (with a manikin foot, canister, trigger and a pan) to shoot the balls under lion's paws until they are spinning (two whole clips per ball). The bench, which you will be building it at, is the one at the bottom of the "power tower" by the elevators side-by-side.
The canister can spawn either right next to the bench on the right or on a table close to the power switch in the power room. The trigger can spawn on the table next to the elevators side-by-side or on the kitchen counter to the left of the bench. The pan can either spawn on the barrel next to the (1000 point) sofa barricade opposite the bench or in the kitchen to the right as you leave the power room. The manikin foot will be up the stairs from that same bench in front of a TV, behind the stairs.
Step 9, ZOMBIE TILES:First off, you're going to have to build the trample steamer (metal mesh grid, bellows, compressor and the flag pole). To build the trample steam you will need to collect its four parts in the spawn room and lobby next to it, then bring them to the bench (two floors below you).
Once they are built you must collect one each and then place them on top of each of the four golden zombie tiles, FACING DIRECTLY AT THE TOWER/SPIRE. One is near the spawn in the lobby (by the M14), two are near the claymores at the bottom of the ramp, to the spire, and the last is by the semtex grenades down from the spire.
Start the next wave, allowing zombies to be killed by the trample steams, ensuring they don't attempt to destroy them. It may seem that a lot of the zombies are flung past the tower but as long as a few go into/through/over the tower you'll be fine. You will know when the step is complete by the dragon breathing fire and the blue surge going up the spire.
Step 10, WORKING OUT THE MAHJONG TILES:There are a total of eight Mahjong tiles littered throughout the map and seven will spawn randomly in either of the eleven locations each game. With the exception of one, the North tile which will spawn on a specific corner of the spire every time. So you will have to find three bamboo tiles and two more wind tiles. Here is an image of the four mahjong tiles:
As far as the bamboo tiles go, you just have to count the pieces of bamboo to calculate the number. However, there may spawn a tile with what looks to be a bird (a sparrow), that is what they use instead of a single piece of bamboo. With a wind direction and a number we can work out the order in which to hit the spire's corners, with the GalvaKnuckles. For example, the red North wind tile and the red sparrow would correspond to hitting the North post of the spire first.
Locations vary, however I will list the ten known ones; on the desk at the spawn, beside the escalator in the lobby room next to spawn on the floor, as you fall down the elevator shaft you will slide off a near 45° slanted surface and it can spawn on the platform you land on, there will be one on a sofa's cushion not far from the mystery box, one is opposite the wall with the SVU-AS sniper rifle on what's left of a step of the broken stairs, there is one close to the teddy bear in the Buddha room (second floor on the right), one is in the kitchen to the right of the MP5, one is on a shelf in the room next to the sliquifier's bench, one is in the power room as you enter, to your immediate right on a table next to a sewing machine and another is down from the semtex grenades where you dropped down for the hidden nav. card table part in the room next to it on a lawn chair.
Step 11, GALVAKNUCKLES:Now that you have worked out the order that you have to hit the, now glowing blue, posts with the GalvaKnuckles (6000 points), go down the elevator shaft until you find them slightly to the side, half way down. Then just hit the posts, the tower will then light up blue and ENJOY! *ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED*
Whoever managed to survive to see the completion of this easter egg will now be rewarded with all six perks (If you died then you will not be rewarded, trust me ... I know). If you want to help out with someone else's easter egg run, you will need to make sure that they're the host and that anybody with the achievement joins their session in progress (If the host has the easter egg completed, nobody in that game can earn it). However, the game you completed your easter egg in tranzit could give out a free-of-charge acheevo to anyone that joins. You know who you are... So my logic is that the same will happen in Die Rise.
If however you are wanting to complete Maxis' path then here you go;
MAXIS Step 8, PICK UP THE BALLS:Instead of sliquifying them like in Richtofen's path, Maxis will ask you to pick up the balls. You can only pick up one ball per player and there will be no indication as to who has one. SO REMEMBER!
Step 9, BUDDHA ROOM KILLS:Now you must all make your way to the Buddha room which is located at the lowest floor of the "spawn tower". To get to it, go down the elevator shaft then you will be just one (750 point) sofa barricade away. Now you must kill them! KILL THEM ALL! (Love to see if somebody gets that reference in the comments). To achieve this you must gather 20+ zombies at once then let it rip (seems to be for X amount of kills in X amount of time). Once completed Maxis will be sure to let you know with an "Enough, enough!" shortly following.
Step 10, BALLISTIC KNIVES:DO NOT pack a punch the ballistic knives before this step! If you do you'll have to restart.
For this step, one player is going to have to part with his hard earned stash of points and get lucky with the box. Remember you can withdraw from the bank (the showers) outside the power room. Seriously, GOOD LUCK. Oh, and then they will need to pack-a-punch them as well.
So once the Krauss Refribulator is in a player's possession Maxis will talk to you signifying that you did it right. Then simply head back down to the Buddha room. Once there, the player with the Krauss Refribulator will have to shoot the Refribulator at any wall or floor in the room
Step 11, LION TILES:First off, you're going to have to build the trample steamer (metal mesh grid, bellows, compressor and the flag pole). To build the trample steam you will need to collect its four parts in the spawn room and lobby next to it, then bring them to the bench (two floors below you).
Once you have collected one each, you will need to place each one onto its own lion tile, making sure they are facing the spire directly and that the two players with the balls PLACE THEIRS LAST. The location of the lion tiles are; one is down the escalator in the lobby beside the spawn, one is inside the spawn room in the north most corner, one is down by the hidden nav. card table part and the last is next to the elevators side-by-side on the roof.
Once the trample steamers are in place, the two players with the balls will get the option to hold "X" to place their ball onto their trample steamer. You will know when the step is complete by the dragon breathing fire and the orange surge going up the spire.
NOTE: If you don't get the option to place a ball, you'll have to get a zombie to destroy the tramplesteam.
The last two steps are exactly the same as Richtofen's but to save you the scrolling I will put them here, for your convenience.
Step 12, WORKING OUT THE MAHJONG TILES:There are a total of eight Mahjong tiles littered throughout the map and seven will spawn randomly in either of the eleven locations each game.
